Product Description

The Ascentis Express Peptide ES-C18 HPLC-/UHPLC column 50x0.2mm, 2.7µm, is designed as a C18 phase with an enlarged pore structure for peptide separations. The Ascentis Express Peptide ES-C18 enables good mass transport for larger molecules and is preferred in LC-MS methods, proteomics workflows, peptide mapping and bioanalysis. Due to the non endcapped surface, peptides can be separated under acidic conditions with differentiated selectivity.

Features and Benefits

  • Fused-Core particle technology
  • High efficiency at moderate pressure
  • Wide range of RP, HILIC, and specialty selectivities
  • Suitable for HPLC and UHPLC
  • Directly compatible guard cartridge column protection

Additional Notes

Ascentis Express columns are based on fused-core or superficially porous particles. A solid core combined with a porous shell provides short diffusion paths and an efficient packing structure. As a result, high column numbers and narrow peaks can be achieved, often without reaching the backpressure associated with fully porous sub-2-µm particles. The platform includes classic reverse-phase columns, polar embedded phases, HILIC phases, and application-specific surface chemistries.
