The Inertsil Hybrid-Si HILIC HPLC column 50x3.0mm, 1.7µm, is based on a fully cross-linked hybrid silica matrix and is used in hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). The phase is unmodified and utilizes the polar surface of the hybrid silica for the retention of hydrophilic analytes. The hybrid silica offers greater resistance to alkaline conditions than conventional silica materials, thereby expanding the scope for method development. Typical applications include the analysis of highly polar active ingredients, metabolites, nucleosides, nucleotides, water-soluble pharmaceutical compounds, and other hydrophilic substances that exhibit only low retention in reverse-phase chromatography. Inertsil Hybrid-Si HILIC can be particularly useful when HILIC selectivity with a long column life, stable retention, and good peak shape is required under varying pH conditions.
