The Inertsil Prep-SIL preparative HPLC column 250x50mm, 10µm, is an unmodified silica phase for normal-phase chromatography and preparative purification. Inertsil Prep-SIL is used when polar surface interactions of the silica matrix are to be specifically utilized for separation, fractionation, or purification. The 10-µm Prep materials are designed for semipreparative and preparative formats; method parameters can be determined using smaller ID formats and subsequently transferred to larger preparative columns. Suitable applications include the purification of organic intermediates, natural products, reaction mixtures, lipophilic compounds, and substance fractions that exhibit better selectivity in normal-phase chromatography than in reverse-phase chromatography.
