The QuEChERS Pesticide III push-through SPE column is intended for food and feed matrices with a fat content of more than 10 %. QuEChERS Pesticide III reduces lipophilic co-extractives that commonly enter the acetonitrile supernatant in conventional QuEChERS extractions and can lead to ion suppression, contamination or shorter maintenance intervals. The additional clean-up potential of the extra SPE version is tailored to fatty samples without requiring a dispersive sorbent step. For high sample throughput a variant exclusively for the FREESTYLE QuEChERS system is available in addition to the manual column. QuEChERS Pesticide III thus supports robust pesticide multi-methods in demanding fatty matrices.

Additional Notes

The QuEChERS Pesticide columns adapt the standard dispersive QuEChERS cleanup to a solid-phase flow-through format. The extract is passed through a sorbent combination tailored to the matrix class; the exact composition of the packing is not generally disclosed by the manufacturer. Since no loose sorbent is added to the extract, the additional shaking and centrifugation steps are eliminated. This improves the standardization of the workflow and reduces the carryover of matrix residues into LC-MS/MS or GC-MS systems. The choice between Pesticide I, II, and III depends on the presence of pigments, fats, and other matrix contaminants.
