The Waters Atlantis Premier BEH C18 AX HPLC-/UHPLC column 150x2.1mm, 5µm, is based on ethylene-bridged hybrid (BEH) particles in MaxPeak-Premier hardware and features a mixed-mode C18-AX modification with an octadecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) and an anion-exchange component.This makes the Waters Atlantis Premier BEH C18 AX used in mixed-mode RP/anion-exchange chromatography. The phase separates acidic glycans by charge state and complements classical HILIC glycan methods.Typical applications of the Waters Atlantis Premier BEH C18 AX are acidic glycans, 2-AB-labelled N-glycans, biopharmaceutical glycoprofiling and orthogonal glycan analytics.
The Waters Atlantis series was developed for compounds that are difficult to retain on conventional reverse-phase columns. Silica-based Atlantis T3 and dC18 phases support highly aqueous mobile phases and polar retention; Atlantis HILIC Silica offers orthogonal HILIC selectivity. Atlantis Premier expands the series with low-adsorption hardware for demanding polar and glycan-related methods. Atlantis encompasses older HPLC formats and modern Premier variants; accordingly, Sentry, VanGuard, or VanGuard FIT may be relevant.
