Additional Notes
Viridis is a family of achiral SFC columns available in several base materials. Unmodified silica provides highly polar adsorption selectivity; 2-ethylpyridine on silica or BEH modifies basicity and peak shape. Viridis BEH utilizes the robust hybrid surface without additional ligands; HSS C18 SB provides hydrophobic SFC selectivity; and CSH Fluoro-Phenyl combines a controlled surface charge with fluorinated aromatic interactions. The various materials enable broad-scale screening and scale-up to preparative SFC columns.
