Product Description

The Waters ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 UPLC column 150x2.1mm, 1.8µm, is based on High-Strength-Silica (HSS) particles and features a T3-C18 modification based on an octadecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18). As a result, the Waters ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 is used in reversed-phase chromatography. The T3 chemistry is water-wettable and increases the retention of polar analytes without losing retention of hydrophobic components. Typical applications of the Waters ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 are very polar active substances, metabolites, water-soluble compounds and methods with strongly aqueous mobile phases.

Additional Information

The Waters ACQUITY series includes sub-2-µm UPLC phases based on hybrid particles, high-strength silica, and charged-surface hybrid materials. BEH particles consist of an organic-inorganic hybrid matrix and offer high chemical and mechanical stability. HSS particles provide silica-like selectivity with high pressure stability, while CSH particles enable particularly good peak shapes for basic analytes in LC-MS-friendly mobile phases thanks to a controlled surface charge. Compatible VanGuard or Guard systems protect the main column from matrix components.
