Product Description

The Waters SunFire C18 HPLC/UHPLC column 75x30mm, 5µm, based on an octadecylsilyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) on highly pure, spherical silica and is designed for reversed-phase chromatography. Proprietary bonding and endcapping technologies improve peak shape, exhibit low MS bleed and high stability at low to medium pH. In practice, the Waters SunFire C18 is suitable, for example, for pharmaceutical assays, impurity analysis, LC–MS methods, natural products and preparative scale-up.

Additional Information

SunFire packing materials are manufactured from fully porous, high-purity silica with a pore size of 100 Å. The combination of silica synthesis, bonding chemistry, end-capping, and controlled packing is designed to ensure high efficiency, low column bleeding, and good stability under acidic conditions. C18 and C8 differ primarily in their hydrophobic retention, while SunFire Silica is used for adsorptive normal-phase separations. The product family includes both analytical and OBD preparative columns, thereby supporting method scale-up.
