The Waters Oasis WAX SPE cartridge is built on a polymeric HLB backbone and has a weak anion-exchange function. The primary application of the Waters Oasis WAX is in mixed-mode SPE. The WAX chemistry enables pH-controlled retention of acidic analytes and flexible elution strategies. In practice, the Waters Oasis WAX is suitable, for example, for acidic active ingredients, metabolites, environmental samples, PFAS-related methods and selective matrix clean-up.

Additional Information

Oasis sorbents are based on a macroporous copolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone and divinylbenzene. This backbone is water-wettable and stable when exposed to strongly acidic and alkaline samples. Oasis HLB utilizes hydrophilic and lipophilic retention components; MCX, MAX, WCX, and WAX combine this polymer base with strong or weak cation- or anion-exchange groups. PRiME HLB is designed for simplified workflows and reduced matrix interference. The selection depends on the charge state, polarity, matrix, and desired elution profile.
