The Waters Atlantis Silica HILIC HPLC column 30x2.1mm, 5µm, is based on unbonded, high-purity silica and has a polar silanol surface without organic ligands and is used in hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). The unbonded HILIC silica surface provides strong retention for very polar analytes and a clear orthogonal selectivity to reversed phase. Typical applications of Waters Atlantis HILIC Silica are melamine/cyanuric acid analysis, polar metabolites, sugar and nucleobase analysis as well as LC–MS HILIC methods.

The Waters Atlantis series was developed for compounds that are difficult to retain on conventional reverse-phase columns. Silica-based Atlantis T3 and dC18 phases support highly aqueous mobile phases and polar retention; Atlantis HILIC Silica offers orthogonal HILIC selectivity. Atlantis Premier expands the series with low-adsorption hardware for demanding polar and glycan-related methods.
