Product Description

The Waters Oasis HLB SPE cartridge is based on a water-wettable polymeric sorbent and features a hydrophilic–lipophilic balanced structure without a silica backbone. The primary area of application of the Waters Oasis HLB is reversed-phase SPE. The sorbent does not dry out as critically under vacuum as classic silica sorbents and is a universal starting point for acidic, basic and neutral compounds. In practice the Waters Oasis HLB is suitable, for example, for biofluids, food matrices, environmental samples, small molecules and generic SPE methods.

Features and Benefits

  • Water-wettable polymer sorbents
  • Stable performance over a very wide pH range
  • No retention losses due to drying out
  • RP and mixed-mode ion exchange
  • Cartridge, plate, and µElution formats

Additional Information

Oasis sorbents are based on a macroporous copolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone and divinylbenzene. This backbone is water-wettable and stable when exposed to strongly acidic and alkaline samples. Oasis HLB utilizes hydrophilic and lipophilic retention components; MCX, MAX, WCX, and WAX combine this polymer base with strong or weak cation- or anion-exchange groups. PRiME HLB is designed for simplified workflows and reduced matrix interference. The selection depends on the charge state, polarity, matrix, and desired elution profile.
