The Waters CORTECS T3 HPLC/UHPLC column 100x2.1mm, 1.6µm, is built on solid-core silica particles and possesses a water-wettable T3 C18 modification based on an octadecylsilyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18).The Waters CORTECS T3 is intended for use in reversed-phase chromatography. The T3 chemistry increases the retention of polar analytes and allows the use of 100% aqueous mobile phases.Typical applications of the Waters CORTECS T3 include polar active substances, metabolites, water-soluble compounds and rapid RP gradients.
CORTECS columns are packed with surface-porous solid-core particles. A dense core is surrounded by a porous outer layer, resulting in shorter diffusion paths and high separation efficiency at comparatively moderate backpressure compared to fully porous particles. The series includes classic C18 and C8 phases, the polar-retentive T3 chemistry, Shield RP18, Phenyl, and HILIC. C18+ and Premier versions complement the solid-core base with surface or hardware technologies for challenging basic and metal-affine analytes.
CORTECS is a registered trademark of Waters Corporation, Milford, Massachusetts, USA.
