The Waters XBridge BEH Phenyl HPLC-/UHPLC column 75x2.1mm, 2.5µm, is based on BEH hybrid particles and features a phenyl modification. The Waters XBridge BEH Phenyl was developed for separations in reversed-phase chromatography. The phenyl surface provides alternative selectivity for aromatic and polyaromatic compounds. The Waters XBridge BEH Phenyl is used, among other things, for aromatics, isomers, polyaromatic substances, pharmaceutical impurities and screening methods.

Additional Information

XBridge columns use ethylene-bridged hybrid particles in which organic bridges are incorporated into the inorganic backbone. This material architecture expands the usable pH range compared to conventional silica and enables robust methods even in the strongly alkaline range. The product family includes reverse-phase, shield, and phenyl-selective columns, as well as HILIC and amide-phase columns and wide-pore materials for peptides, proteins, glycans, and oligonucleotides. Identical chemistries across different particle sizes facilitate transfer between HPLC, UHPLC, and preparative formats.
