Product Description

The DONeX 3 mL SPE cartridge is designed for the clean-up of deoxynivalenol and nivalenol from cereals, cereal-containing foods, feed and infant formula. In addition, DONeX methods can also include 3-acetyl-DON, 15-acetyl-DON and DON-3-glucoside. The sorbent tolerates matrix amounts up to approximately 4 g and allows sample loading at up to 10 mL/min, enabling rapid processing of larger series. Significant depletion of interfering matrix components produces extracts for HPLC-UV, other HPLC detection methods or LC-MS/MS. DONeX does not require refrigerated storage and thus combines high methodological flexibility with uncomplicated stocking in the routine laboratory.

Additional Notes

DONeX is based on an SPE sorbent specifically developed for the purification of trichothecenes and is not a traditional immunoaffinity column. The selective matrix depletion is tailored to grains and grain-containing products and significantly reduces interfering contaminants without complicating the workflow due to the need for refrigerated storage or a short shelf life. DONeX can be loaded with comparatively large matrix volumes and supports high flow rates. To ensure reproducible results, the extraction solvent, loading volume, and elution should be selected in accordance with the DONeX matrix protocol.
