The HALO 120 Å OLIGO C18 HPLC column 100x2.1mm, 2.7µm, is based on an octydecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) on a core-shell material modified with organosilane compounds. This ensures high pH stability at high temperatures (pH 9 at 85°C). In addition, inert stainless steel is used as the hardware to prevent interactions between analytes and the stainless steel. The 120 Å pores are ideally suited for separating short and medium-length oligonucleotides with a base length of up to 60.
The HALO Oligo series is based on a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This allows for high efficiency while maintaining low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible using a standard HPLC system. A special modification of the silica surface using organosilane compounds results in high pH stability of up to 9 at 85°C. In addition to this high pH stability, the hardware of the HALO Oligo Series is made of inert stainless steel. This prevents interactions between analytes and the stainless steel walls. The service life can be extended by using compatible pre-column cartridges.
HALO is a registered trademark of the manufacturer Advanced Materials Technology, Inc., Wilmington, USA.
