Product Description

The HALO 1000 Å C4 HPLC column 100x2.1mm, 2.7µm, features a butyl modification on a core-shell particle. This makes the phase suitable for reverse-phase chromatography. The short C4 chains of the HALO 1000 Å C4 result in low hydrophobic interactions, making this phase ideal for the analysis of antibodies. The 1,000 Å pores allow for the unimpeded diffusion of antibodies into the pores. This makes this phase ideally suited for the analysis of antibodies (mAb), such as trastuzumab or IgG2. The inert stainless steel hardware also ensures that potential interactions between analytes and the stainless steel hardware are prevented.

Features and Benefits

  • Core-shell particles for fast methods
  • UHPLC performance on HPLC systems
  • High efficiency
  • Low backpressure

Additional Notes

The HALO Bioclass series is based on a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This allows for high efficiency while maintaining low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible using a standard HPLC system. Compared to the HALO series, the HALO Bioclass series features larger pores (160 Å, 400 Å, and 1,000 Å). This allows biological samples—ranging from small peptides to proteins and antibodies—to be analyzed using core-shell technology. The service life can be extended by using appropriate precolumn cartridges.
