The PerfectSil 120 Phenyl-L HPLC column 300x3.9mm, 5µm, features a phenyl modification for reverse-phase chromatography. Within the PerfectSil 120 Phenyl HPLC column and Phenyl-M HPLC column series, the PerfectSil 120 Phenyl-L has the lowest carbon loading and thus the lowest hydrophobicity. As a result, retention times are the shortest with the PerfectSil 120 Phenyl-L, while selectivity is comparable among these three phases. Due to dipole-dipole, π-π, and hydrophobic interactions, this phase offers an alternative selectivity to C18 phases and is therefore particularly interesting for aromatics or unsaturated compounds. This column can be used, for example, in pharmaceutical analysis, environmental analysis, and natural product analysis.
The PerfectSil series is based on high-purity Type B silica gel. This ensures that it meets the requirements of modern separation techniques. Thanks to a wide range of modifications, the PerfectSil series can be used for a broad spectrum of separations. Using compatible pre-column cartridges can extend the service life.
