The PerfectSil 120 NH2 HPLC column 150x4.6mm, 5µm, features an amino group as a modification. This amino group can be used in both normal-phase and reverse-phase chromatography, as well as in HILIC and ion-exchange chromatography, depending on the pH value. The NH2 group enables hydrogen bonding with the analytes and exhibits orthogonal selectivity compared to C18 columns. Using the HILIC mechanism, the PerfectSil 120 NH2 HPLC column is successfully used for the analysis of carbohydrates (or sugar analysis). In addition, the PerfectSil 120 NH2 HPLC columns are also used for the analysis of lipids and fatty acid esters in normal-phase chromatography. Due to the weak ion-exchange properties of the amino-NH2 group, organic acids or phosphate compounds are also potential analytes for the PerfectSil 120 NH2 HPLC column.
The PerfectSil series is based on high-purity Type B silica gel. This ensures that it meets the requirements of modern separation techniques. Thanks to a wide range of modifications, the PerfectSil series can be used for a broad spectrum of separations. Using compatible pre-column cartridges can extend the service life.
PerfectSil is a registered trademark of the manufacturer MZ-Analysentechnik GmbH, Mainz, Germany.
