Product Description

The PerfectSil 120 C1 HPLC column 250x40mm, 5µm, features a C1 modification that can be used in reverse-phase chromatography. The short chains offer only weak hydrophobic interactions and simultaneously allow access to the silica framework, enabling polar interactions with free silanol groups. This results in alternative selectivities for the PerfectSil 120 C1 compared to a C18 phase. With these polar interactions, both highly polar compounds—such as small organic acids, alcohols, aldehydes, or ketones and highly hydrophobic compounds such as long-chain alkyl compounds or hydrophobic pharmaceutical active ingredients can be analyzed.
