PerfectBond C1 5µm 250x4,6mm HPLC Column

The PerfectBond C1 HPLC column 250x4.6mm, 5µm, features a C1 modification used in reverse-phase chromatography. The very short C1 chain of the PerfectBond C1 allows only very weak hydrophobic interactions while simultaneously providing polar interactions with the silica backbone. This can result in specific selectivities compared to C18 or C8 phases. Thanks to these polar interactions of PerfectBond C1, both highly polar compounds—such as small organic acids, alcohols, aldehydes, or ketones—can be separated, and highly hydrophobic compounds—such as long-chain alkyl compounds or hydrophobic pharmaceutical active ingredients—can be analyzed.

The PerfectBond series is based on high-purity, spherical Type B silica gel and thus meets the requirements of modern separations. This allows methods to be modernized with minimal effort. Using appropriate precolumn cartridges can extend the service life.
