Product Description

The HALO 90 Å Glycan HILIC HPLC column 150x0.3mm, 2.7µm, is based on a ligand with five hydroxy groups on a core-shell particle and is therefore classified according to USP L95. The column can be used in hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). The HALO 90 Å Glycan was specifically developed for the analysis of glycans, but oligosaccharides can also be analyzed using this column. The HALO 90 Å Glycan exhibits improved retention of acidic and zwitterionic analytes. Each batch of the material is specifically tested for the separation of procainamide-reduced, end-labeled glycan chains ranging from 2 to 25 glucose units to ensure reliable glycan analysis.

Features and Benefits

  • Core-shell particles for fast methods
  • UHPLC performance on HPLC systems
  • High efficiency
  • Low backpressure

Additional Notes

The HALO Bioclass series is based on a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This allows for high efficiency while maintaining low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible using a standard HPLC system. Compared to the HALO series, the HALO Bioclass series features larger pores (160 Å, 400 Å, and 1,000 Å). This allows biological samples—ranging from small peptides to proteins and antibodies—to be analyzed using core-shell technology. The service life can be extended by using appropriate precolumn cartridges.
