Product Description

The HALO PAH 90Å HPLC column 250x4.6mm, 2.7µm is based on an octadecyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) on 90 Å fused-core silica particles. The C18 modification is trifunctionally bonded, non-end-capped, and designed for reverse-phase chromatography. The phase was specifically developed for the analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and is particularly suitable for PAH/PAK methods in environmental, water, and food analysis. Typical applications include the separation of EPA 610 PAHs, extended PAH methods involving benzo[e]pyrene or perylene, and rapid acetonitrile/water gradients with UV, fluorescence, or LC/MS detection.

Additional Notes

The HALO Series is based on a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This allows for high efficiency while maintaining low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible with a standard HPLC system. This makes the HALO Series an attractive option for laboratories that require maximum performance with the shortest possible retention times. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
