Product Description

The InertSustain C8 HPLC column 75x3.9mm, 5µm, is based on an octasilyl modification (also known as OS, RP-8, C8) for reverse-phase chromatography. In addition, a special surface modification ensures high pH stability from 1 to 10. This also results in high phase inertness toward all analytes. In contrast to InertSustain C18, InertSustain C8 exhibits lower hydrophobic interactions. However, selectivity remains comparable, allowing methods to be specifically accelerated. Consequently, this phase can be used in all common applications, such as the pharmaceutical industry, food analysis, or environmental analysis.

Additional Notes

The InertSustain series features a specially modified silica. This allows for precise control of the properties of the silica matrix. In addition, the columns exhibit high pH stability. As with the established Inertsil series, the InertSustain materials also demonstrate very high inertness toward all analytes—a phenomenon also referred to as base deactivation. Furthermore, these materials exhibit very low backpressure while maintaining high efficiencies. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
