The InertSustain AQ-C18 HPLC column 250x30mm, 5µm, consists of an octydecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) for reverse-phase chromatography. The C18 groups are bonded to the surface at regular intervals. This allows polar analytes to be retained, enabling the InertSustain AQ-C18 to be used with 100% aqueous mobile phases. In addition, the surface of the silica particles is specially modified to ensure high pH stability (1–10). In addition, the InertSustain AQ-C18 offers high inertness toward all analytes and is also base-activated. This phase can be used in many applications where hydrophobic and polar interactions or 100% aqueous mobile phases are required. These include, for example, the pharmaceutical industry, environmental analysis, food analysis, and residue analysis.
The InertSustain series features a specially modified silica. This allows for precise control of the properties of the silica matrix. In addition, the columns exhibit high pH stability. As with the established Inertsil series, the InertSustain materials also demonstrate very high inertness toward all analytes—a phenomenon also referred to as base deactivation. Furthermore, these materials exhibit very low backpressure while maintaining high efficiencies. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
