The InertSustain Amide HPLC column 50x3.0mm, 1.9µm, has an amide group on its surface, allowing the phase to be used in hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). In addition, the silica surface is specially modified to provide high stability and durability of the phase. Due to the polar interactions in the HILIC mechanism, the InertSustain Amide can retain polar analytes that do not experience retention in reverse-phase chromatography, such as melamine or cyanuric acid.
The InertSustain series features a specially modified silica. This allows for precise control of the properties of the silica matrix. In addition, the columns exhibit high pH stability. As with the established Inertsil series, the InertSustain materials also demonstrate very high inertness toward all analytes—a phenomenon also referred to as base deactivation. Furthermore, these materials exhibit very low backpressure while maintaining high efficiencies. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
