Product Description

The InertSustain PFP HPLC column 150x2.1mm, 3µm, is based on a pentafluorophenyl phase for reverse-phase chromatography. Due to the fluorinated phenyl group, hydrogen bonding, dipole-dipole, π-π, and hydrophobic interactions are possible. This results in alternative selectivity for the InertSustain PFP compared to C18 phases. This is particularly evident with aromatics or electron-rich compounds. In addition, the silica framework has been specially modified to deliver unique separation patterns and excellent peak shapes. The InertSustain PFP can be used, for example, for the separation of nucleic acids, catecholamines, or even aromatic compounds such as praquat and diquat.

Additional Notes

The InertSustain series features a specially modified silica. This allows for precise control of the properties of the silica matrix. In addition, the columns exhibit high pH stability. As with the established Inertsil series, the InertSustain materials also demonstrate very high inertness toward all analytes—a phenomenon also referred to as base deactivation. Furthermore, these materials exhibit very low backpressure while maintaining high efficiencies. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
