The Inertsil Hybrid C18 HPLC column 30x2.1mm, 5µm, is based on an octydecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) for reverse-phase chromatography. The backbone of this phase is based on an organic-inorganic hybrid material. This allows the Inertsil Hybrid C18 to be used at pH values ranging from 1.0 to 12.0. Thanks to its high pH stability, bases can be analyzed in their neutral state and thus experience greater retention. Additionally, the use of 100% aqueous mobile phases is possible, which also allows for the retention of more polar substances. Typical applications include all methods that benefit from a high pH or in which bases are to be analyzed, such as antihistamines, antidepressants, nucleoside-based drugs, or guanine-based antiviral drugs.
The Inertsil Hybrid series consists of an organic-inorganic hybrid material. This hybrid material increases the stability of the silica framework against high pH values. As a result, the Inertsil Hybrid series can be used at pH values ranging from 1.0 to 12.0. Furthermore, this series is compatible with 100% aqueous mobile phases, which allows for the retention of polar substances as well. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
