The InertCore Biphenyl HPLC column 75x4.6mm, 2.6µm, features a biphenyl modification on a core-shell particle for reverse-phase chromatography. The biphenyl ligand enables very strong π-π interactions, and the two phenyl groups also result in stronger hydrophobic interactions compared to other phenyl phases. As a result, the InertCore Biphenyl delivers strong retention and excellent selectivity. In addition, it offers alternative selectivity compared to C18 phases. This phase can be used, for example, in the analysis of nucleotides, cyclic nucleotides, aldehydes, or nucleoside-based antiviral drugs.
The InertCore series consists of a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This particle design results in high efficiency combined with low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible on an HPLC system. This makes these columns ideal for anyone who wants to get more performance out of an existing system or speed up a method. The service life can be extended by using appropriate precolumn cartridges.
