Kromasil® Chiral
Kromasil® bonded chiral phases are based on the well-known and rugged Kromasil® 100Å silica. The chiral monomer is polymerized and covalently bonded to functionalized Kromasil silica, yielding a stationary phase for chiral separations with superior mechanical and chemical stability, highly available surface area and a narrow pore size distribution. This results in long life-time, high loadability and selectivity for a broad range of racemates.

Kromasil® Chiral is available as packed columns from analytical to semi-preparative scale and as bulk media with 5, 10 and 16 µm particle size. The excellent mechanical stability of the base material allows repeated packings at pressures of up to 700 bar for preparative separations.

Kromasil® AmyCoat™
Kromasil® AmyCoat™ coated chiral phases are based on a super wide-pore silica material developed by Eka Nobel and functionalized with a polymerized amylose-based chiral selector. High resolution, excellent selectivity, high pressure stability of up to 400 bar and stable performance when switching between compatible mobile phases give no reason for having "solvent-dedicated columns" and allow very short equilibration times when using Kromasil® AmyCoat™. All these benefits "ship" together with absolutely no sign for memory effects and result in a long life-time, high loadability and selectivity for a broad range of racemates for Kromasil® AmyCoat™. |
